Available routes are the western portion of the Seligman Sub in AZ, the Needles Sub from Needles to Barstow, Cajon Pass, Tehachapi pass, and the San Bernardino Sub. Now let's look at the inferior Run8, the laughable comparison of Run8 VS TSW. That's a lot of rivets and shadows to render, and it will affect perfomance. IF editors come out, just think what scenarios with heavy traffic will do. TSW bare bones routes of short lengths tax even the best computers. TSW loco sounds, top notch, FAILURE! GE loco with no classic GE chug. Eventually when they develop more routes along a sub, you will drive 1/4 of the route, run out of scenery, have to load a second route, and continue part 2 from there. Those short routes don't even attach to each other, ie no continuity. TSW, short routes that don't even include a whole subdivision. Or do you want a train to feel like a train? Run 8. Are you a rivet counter, with no care towards actual physics? Then by all means enjoy the arcadish TSW.
#RUN 8 TRAIN SIMULATOR MODS FREE#
Ursprünglich geschrieben von Speedy:I am sorry but when people compare run8 to TSW I have to laugh lolĪlso 3rd big free sorry your wrong 3rd party is just as bad for bugs as any other realease It comes down to two things. EVERYTHING people are demanding and not getting from DTG, Run8V2 has it. 30 mile DTG route with stunning graphics? Or 5 routes that flawlessly connect together, giving you continous playability without having to stop an activity on one map, and starting part 2 on a second map. The railyards are chock full, and trains are running hard from Seligman, AZ all the way to Barstow, Los Angeles and up to Bakersfield and back. Just yesterday alone, I put in a 20 hour shift on Run8. I don't even think I managed 20 hours with TSW and it's buggy crap. If you want a real good train sim, that won't kill even the best computers, but offers great physics, top notch sounds, amazing MP sessions, Run8. And to be honest, if you are a rivet counter, then stick with TSW. TSW has an extremely long way to catch-up! Don't forget to mention, the multitudes of great 3rd party payware content, that has minimal bugs and great support from those 3rd party devs. Many of its long standing players aren't really concerned about the now slightly dated graphics, because it's enjoyable to play & provides a lot of pleasure - and does so at a most reaonable cost. i.e has tons of variety, semi-decent physics (unlike TSW), better sound than TSW, a easy to use editor for creating new content (scenarios & routes), and a very strong TS community that are very supportive of each other. And many players are still very much enjoying playing it, for all sorts of reasons. The quality of these DLC just keeps on getting better & better. Tons of new content coming out almsot on a weekly basis. Just exactly how is TS dead? It's got more players then ever. Still 32-bit, doesn't take advantage of modern GPUs etc. TS is a dead end, the graphics engine is basically unchanged for at least a decade. Ursprünglich geschrieben von AdvancedFollower.
